Following last year's highly successful event we are holding the 2nd Wymeswold Washdyke Summer Music Festival on the afternoon of Sunday 4th July on the Washdyke field – weather permitting!
The event will be along similar lines to last year with free admission to all. Just bring your chairs, blankets, picnics and drinks to enjoy a lazy afternoon of local entertainment. We will invite donations to cover costs, and any surplus will be donated to the Washdyke project.
Last year we were treated to a line-up up of local musical talent from 1.30pm until around 8pm, and would invite anyone who would like to take part this time to get in touch.
Whether you're a band, ensemble, choir, soloist or instrumentalist then we'd love to hear from you. Even if you just want to do one-or-two numbers then that's fine, and we'd particularly like to hear from youngsters. Last year, it was fantastic to see so many of the children of the village all taking part.
Young, old, good or bad it doesn't really matter – it's just your chance to play a few numbers. Also, we need some volunteers of help behind the scenes looking after the car park and gates.
