Wymeswold Running Club (WRC) meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm, at the bottom of The Stockwell.
Everyone is welcome to join us, fast or slow, we generally have two running groups each evening. Club members are happy to help new starters and experienced runners to get the most for their running. Our members have experience of running a range of distances up to marathons (and a few ultra-marathons).
WRC’s annual WADDLE (5-mile Road Race) and 2K Fun Run take place in May every year. Club members take part in the “Duck Suit Challenge” for the Club Trophy – yes, that means racing in a Duck suit to be eligible.
The Club has an annual away trip. We’ve been to Berlin, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Brussels and Munich in the past. If you are interested in coming on our next trip please, contact Chris Taylor. email@example.com
The Club has two big annual social events, a summer BarBQ and Christmas drinks.
We also have the annual BOB KING ROUND, a jaunt around the local pubs (jogging in between drinks) on the first Tuesday in July. This annual “event” is very popular and a real laugh.
