The next WHO talk is on Tuesday 15th November when Jack Shaw will talk about the History of Quorn and Woodhouse Station.
This talk will take place as usual in the Jubilee Room of Wymeswold Memorial Hall, Clay Street, Wymeswold, LE12 6TY and will start promptly at 7.45 p.m..
Non-members most welcome but will be asked to contribute £3.00. There is a lift to the Jubilee Room if visitors have difficulty with stairs.
Jack Shaw is the grandson of two founder WHO members, Joan and Peter Shaw, so has a life-long interest in the history of this area. He lives in an important historic building in Burton on the Wolds and has volunteered for the Great Central Railway for a good number of years.
