The recent warm weather has been a bonus during this uncertain time and it’s a good thing to see Spring coming along with all its glories. No doubt there are many villagers who are taking this opportunity to take comfort in their gardens and would like to visit others. This isn’t possible at the moment but there are ways round this.
The NGS (National Garden Scheme) is another victim of the corona virus and no garden visits will be allowed for the foreseeable future. We would expect to raise over £1000 each year for the charity.
To help with on line fund raising we are producing a number of visit videos. The spring one is now finished and can be found here

Marie Curie, Macmillan nurses and the other nursing charities that the NGS support are working flat out at the moment and deeply worried about their future finance. The NGS is a major source of funds.

If any villager has a similar idea to help organisations in this difficult time then please get in touch and we can forward via the village NHW mailing list. With over 200 email contacts we can reach a large proportion of the village and so help show everyone that even during social distancing we can keep together.
