Community Grant Award 2015

The Wymeswold Village Project Fund (the organising committee behind the annual Duck Races) again made grants available to local clubs, associations, societies, community projects and charities. The grants fund is generated by the profits from the betting races, BBQ and games at the Wymeswold Duck Races on 10th May.

Applications from four village-based organisations were received by the closing date of 30th September and the Awards Panel was able to distribute a total of £950 in grants as follows:

  • 1st Wolds Scouts Group
    Door and window repairs at the Scout Hut
 £300.00
  • Wymeswold Football Club
    Provision of junior goals
 £250.00
  • Wymeswold Guides
    New PE and sport equipment
 £200.00
  • Wymeswold Playgroup
    New books for library corner
 £200.00

The Awards Panel felt that all the above projects met the conditions of the award scheme and were pleased to help out these village organisations with their respective projects.
