Police report
PC Melody is happy to report that he has received no further complaints relating to vehicle anti-social behaviour at the parking to the rear of the Memorial Hall. On Saturday 14th May he conducted a police beat surgery in conjunction with Cllr Richard Shepherd at the Methodist Chapel. The following relevant issues were discussed – HGV use of restricted roads, speeding vehicles through the village, the dangerous road condition on Far Street, and the collapsed man hole. There was one crime reported in the village on 22/5/11 – theft of mobile phone on Wymeswold airfield. There were 4 crimes reported from the Glastonbudget festival – 18 x theft, 1 x assault, 2 x Criminal damage and 1 x possession of class A drugs.
Reports from the County and Borough Councillors
County Cllr R Shepherd confirmed that there will a meeting on Friday 10th of June to discuss the vehicle count on Far Street. Previous records show that 1 in 10 vehicles are travelling over the speed limit.CC Shepherd also reported on the launch of ‘The Big Society’ details of which can be found at www.leics.gov.uk/bigsociety.
Borough Councillor Jenny Bokor reported that there have been some complaints regarding the renovation of the top car park at the rear of the Memorial Hall. A meeting has been arranged with a planning officer to inspect the site to ensure that the work complies with planning regulations.

The Parish Council has representatives on the following committees and at the meeting of the Parish Council on Monday the 6th of June, the following councillors were elected to represent the committees:
