News Summary September 2016

Police Report

During the month of August 2016 Wymeswold had one criminal damage offence in the area of Woodlands Close and one theft of fuel from a building site.

Burton Lane Housing Development

The planning application for 25 dwellings on Burton Lane has been submitted to Charnwood Borough Council and comments can be made until 28th September. The Parish Council will be consulted and parishioners can also submit their views on the borough council planning portal at http://www.charnwood.gov.uk or by emailing development.control@charnwood.gov.uk.

All Parish Council information will now be available on wymeswold.com along with other useful village information including upcoming events and clubs in the village. If you are not familiar with the site it is well worth a visit for any information on the village.

Post Office

The consultation on the relocation of the post office closed on 28th September and we are hoping that the new location in the Memorial Hall will be up and running soon. The proposed hours are Monday 9:00 – 12:30, Wednesday 10:00 – 14:00 and Friday 9:00 – 12:00.

Slow Down for Life’ wheelie bin stickers are available free from the Parish Council. If you would like any please get in touch or see the noticeboard for further details.

 

The next meeting of Wymeswold Parish Council will be held on Monday 3rd October 2016 in the Sports Pavilion, Burton Lane, Wymeswold, starting at 7:15pm. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
