Wymeswold well beaten

 A half-century from Dan Barry wasn’t enough to prevent Wymeswold from slipping to a seven-wicket defeat at home to promotion chasing West Bridgfordians 2nds in Division D of the South Notts Cricket League.

Rob Pitman’s side batted first and, apart from Dan Barry’s 60, Luke Scoble made 43 as the Wold ended on 178 all out from 42.1 overs.

In reply, the visitors made light work of the victory target reaching 180 for 3 in just 32.2 overs, consigning Wymeswold to a fifth defeat of the season.

Meanwhile in Division L of the league Wymeswold 2nds also came unstuck at Collingham 3rds. The home side rattled up 259 for 3 in just 36 overs, while only Richard Bowley with 48 was able to offer any resistance as the Wold were dismissed for just 146.
