The roof of St Mary’s Church needs a lot of repair. Dry rot has been found in the roof and we urgently need to raise £60,000 to fix it, so that our church remains part of our village community.
St Mary’s is using up its reserves, we have some funds from fundraising from previous years and are applying for grants, but these will not cover the full amount – at the moment we have a shortfall of around £23,500.
If you are able to make a donation, then please bring it to church; drop it in to Stephen Critchley, 55 London Lane (labelled ‘Roof Appeal’); or call us and we will pop round; or call us for our bank details to make a BACS transfer.
Please make any cheques payable to PCC of St Mary Wymeswold.
If you are a taxpayer, St Mary’s can also claim Gift Aid of an extra 25p for every £1 you donate – so please let us have your address and we will ask you to sign a Gift Aid declaration.
If you have any fundraising ideas, then please let us know. Thank you.
